ROLE TITLE: Porsche Technician for Independent Porsche Specialist

Position: Porsche Technician – Track-Focused GT Models

Job Summary: As a Porsche Technician at our independent Porsche specialist facility, you will be at the forefront of maintaining, diagnosing, and enhancing track-focused Porsche GT models. From the legendary 911 GT3 to the exhilarating Cayman GT4, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring these precision machines are track-ready and performing at their peak.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough inspections and diagnostic assessments to identify and address technical issues in Porsche GT models.
  • Performing specialized track-focused upgrades and modifications to enhance performance and handling.
  • Executing routine maintenance tasks with precision and care, ensuring the GT models are track-ready at all times.
  • Collaborating with the service team and track performance specialists to optimize GT model setups.
  • Utilizing diagnostic equipment and tools to ensure precise troubleshooting and repair processes.
    Staying up-to-date with the latest Porsche GT technologies, service bulletins, and racing advancements.
  • Adhering to strict safety protocols, prioritizing precision and safety in all modifications and enhancements.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • One in four Saturdays: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Automotive Technician Apprenticeship in the UK or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Porsche Technician with a specific focus on Porsche GT models and track-oriented vehicles.
  • Extensive knowledge of Porsche GT models, systems, and components.
  • Expertise in track-focused upgrades, modifications, and performance enhancements.
  • Proficiency in utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment to fine-tune GT model setups.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to excel under pressure in track environments.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and interact with GT model owners professionally.

ROLE TITLE: Parts Advisor

REPORTS TO: Parts Manager

DATE: 24/07/23

JOB PURPOSE:

To assist the parts manager in ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of our Parts Department. To supply parts technicians and maintain stock levels.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • To supply parts to the workshops
  • Book all parts on customer’s job cards
  • Book all parts onto the database and update cost and retail prices
  • Ensuring stock levels are maintained
  • To assist when required with on-line sales and mail orders
  • Sourcing best prices and availability with the Manager on parts to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist with Parts Manager to ensure that parts are ordered in advance to avoid unnecessary delays
  • Maintain the parts department ensuring the room and shelves are clean and tidy
  • Cover Parts Manager’s duties when required IE: holiday cover, day off or sickness

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Thorough insight into the working knowledge of Automotive Parts
  • Fully computer literate
  • Technical Understanding of vehicle technical aspects

JOB CHALLENGE:

  • Ability to work in a high paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks simultaneously
